Q: I live elsewhere in Chaffee County - why should I be concerned?
A: Because the proposed Maxwell Park location outside of BV is only the first plant planned - Mount Princeton Geothermal, LLC (MPG) and its investors have openly stated they want to see more strewn up and down the Arkansas Valley, which also means more distribution lines to handle it.Q: Isn’t this quite small - 10 MW of generation?
A: The developers have stated it would be only 10 MW to start but they intend to expand it to 40 MW! Recognize that the investors will want to recoup their drilling and construction investment as quickly as possible and the best way to do that is to sell more electricity. -
